My first visit to Dénia was in 1982 as a volunteer during a school break while studying in Barcelona as a Rotary scholar at ESADE. Twenty years later, our family returned for one year to give our kids the opportunity to study in Spain. In Dénia, we found a vibrant and welcoming community. We were thrilled by the invitation to become part of the “equipo” or team at the school, serving mainly as the librarians. One of my fondest memories during our time in Dénia is Jorge Pastor walking to our house on Christmas Day to wish us a Merry Christmas. The bond that formed that year has continued for over 20 years. We are grateful for the impact Colegio Alfa & Omega has had on our family and friends like Jack and Christina.
We are delighted to provide a platform for others from the US with similar stories to stay connected to this unique community of faith. We also hope others will join our family in ensuring that God’s work in this special Mediterranean town continues to thrive and grow.
